Project Log:  Tuesday, January 17, 2012

Wanting to put the work on the new foundations behind me, I spent about an hour first washing and sanding the new fiberglass, then cleaning up, removing plastic, and getting the boat back to normal.

Afterwards, I set up the engine template and string once more to check the final version of the engine foundations.  The aft mounts would need to be adjusted slightly downward, as expected (I didn't lower them now since the adjusting nuts were up against the two spacers I'd installed at the beginning of the process), but generally speaking the new foundations had ended up right where they needed to, and where I'd anticipated.
